The Twelve Pilgrims Heritage Fund
Britain's Christian heritage is written in stone — in churches, chapels, monasteries and cathedrals that have stood for centuries. But many are crumbling. The Twelve Pilgrims Heritage Fund exists to restore and preserve these sacred places, keeping them alive for people to enjoy for years to come.
Our Commitment
We commit 10% of our annual profits — not revenue, profits — to the Twelve Pilgrims Heritage Fund. Every booking made through Pilgrim Stays UK and every tour booked through Christian Tours contributes to keeping Britain's Christian heritage alive.
What We Fund
The Heritage Fund supports restoration and preservation projects at key Christian sites and churches across the United Kingdom — keeping them alive for people to enjoy for years to come.
Church Restoration
Repairing roofs, towers, stained glass windows and stonework that have fallen into disrepair, keeping these sacred spaces open and safe for worship and visitors.
Chapel & Meeting House Preservation
Preserving small chapels, meeting houses and nonconformist heritage buildings that tell the story of Christian faith in local communities across Britain.
Monastery & Abbey Restoration
Restoring ancient monastic sites, abbeys and priories — from crumbling walls to visitor access — so pilgrims can experience these places for years to come.
Cathedral Maintenance
Supporting the ongoing care of Britain's great cathedrals — from stonework conservation to keeping these landmark spaces accessible to all.
