Durham Cathedral
Durham Cathedral is the final resting place of St Cuthbert and St Bede, and the destination of the Northern Saints Trails. Built in 1093 in the Norman Romanesque style, it is widely regarded as one of the finest cathedrals in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The shrine of St Cuthbert drew medieval pilgrims from across Christendom.
